Introduction
The company already had a website. This was not a refresh of it — the whole site was redesigned and rebuilt from scratch, in a direction chosen with the owner rather than handed to him.
Replacing a site that already exists is harder than starting from nothing. There is a version people have seen, a set of habits around it, and an owner who has to be convinced that the new one is worth the change. The brief was a full rebuild rather than a patch, and the design had to be specific to this company — not a template with a logo dropped into it. Everything had to be agreed as it was designed, not argued about after launch.
Design and code ran side by side, from the same hands, so what was approved is what shipped — no wireframe promises and nothing lost in a handoff. Every page was redrawn and rebuilt: a modern layout, motion that carries the eye instead of showing off, and typography and colour chosen against the company's own identity until the owner said it was right. It is hand-built, fast on a phone, and it kept being improved after go-live rather than abandoned at launch.
The site is live, and it now does a job the old one could not: it is something the owner sends to a company before a conversation starts, and is judged well on. That is what a portfolio site is for — proof that arrives before you do, and a link worth sharing.
